How do I access the New York Times for free?

 Please see below for the procedure to access the New York Times; if you already
have an account, you may skip to the Existing New York Times ID section.
 
Here are the instructions for creating an account and logging on for the first time:
   
To get started please follow these four steps to complete the registration
process:
 
No Existing New York Times ID
         Step 1: Navigate to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/
         Step 2: Search for and select Morton
You will be redirected to the NYT registration page.
         Step 3: Click "Create Account" and complete fields; you must use your
@edu email
         Step 4: Verify your account (you will receive a confirmation email)*
 
* The confirmation email may be routed to your spam folder. You must click
the link in this email to complete the registration.
 
Existing New York Times ID
         If you have previously registered your @edu email address on The New
York Times site, you will click the "Already have an account?" Log in here"
link for Step 3.
* Once registered, users will have 364 days of full account access
at https://www.nytimes.com/.
 
This access covers THE ENTIRE COLLEGE COMMUNITY – Any person with an active @morton.edu email account.
